Hello, one and all, and welcome to Onevan Academy. Enrollment is now open for those graced with the genetics of the Onevan-- here, you do not have to fear what evolution has made you, but rather learn to deal with it... along with learning the basics of leading the most normal of lives you'll ever have. Read through the rules of my school, review our history, become aquainted with how things work around here and everything will run smoothly. And remember: how you live with your gift in the future is your choice; what you do and how you live while you're here is mine.

Role-playing Rules


  • No god-moding or power-playing. You control your character, and yours alone. If someone "stabs" you, you have the right to decide whether or not your character is actually wounded, or if the blade missed.
  • Spelling and grammar are your friends. Use spell check, read through your posts, use quotation marks for spoken-word, and italics for thought. Do not bold dialogue, please. I will have some leniency with this, but not too much. :)
  • You are allowed to have as many characters as you'd like so long as they all remain active. If one doesn't get used for a period of time (approximately two weeks without prior notice of inactivity), he or she will be deleted.
  • This site will be rated R for violence, language, and sexual context. But please keep it to a minimum. You do not have to describe gory details, and sex does not need to take place in the forum. Leave it at kissing, and if it gets worse, put a warning in the subject line. Do not start writing erotica! This is not Cyber-Fest '06.
  • Post length needs to be at least one good-sized (6-7 sentence) paragraph. We all have off days, but try to not have a post shorter than this.
  • The characters of Lucas Lichtenberg and Isabella Mansfield are open for the taking if you don't want to think of a character for yourself.
  • You are not required to post once a day, once a week, whatever. But after you have been absent from posting for three weeks your profile will be moved to a "dead" hidden forum. If you are still inactive for another week, your profile will be deleted all together, but your account will remain intact, just in case you decide to come back.



Enrollment Rules


  • When you register, sign up with the name of your character. Either with first and last name like "christopherkeller" or just the first name like "samantha." Your display name can either be your character's name or nickname, but not "xoxoSammyWammyoxox." Please don't use special characters.
  • Try and put as much thought into your application as possible. The best role-plays start with great, round characters!
  • This is not an X-Men RP, so please do not sign up as X-Men characters! You are free to use whatever "ability" you want inspired by X-Men or not, so long as your character also has weaknesses. NO PERFECT CHARACTERS. Also, please do not sign up as a character named "Joseph Greene," use Hugh Jackman as your model and have him be a man grafted with amazing metal in his bone structure. That's basically the same thing as signing up with an X-Men character. haha.
  • Please do not post anywhere (except Guest Services or the Cbox) until your profile has been accepted.
  • Don't join if you won't be committed. I'm pretty sure Hamlet is my favorite play. I'm not going to be a huge stickler about activity, but it really sucks when you start role-playing with someone and end up just disappearing after two days. So think about that before you join.
  • Check the Student Registry to make sure the celebrity/model you want for your character hasn't been taken yet. It's first come, first served.
  • Work In Progress applications can be posted and kept in the Enrollment board for three days, but after that they either need to be completed or they will be deleted. Three days!



Image Rules


  • Avatars need to be 100x100 or less.
  • Signatures cannot be wider than 590 pixels. The height can vary, but don't make it huge. Just use common sense.
  • You need to have a celebrity/model for your character, not an anime person or a doodle you found somewhere. It makes it easier to role-play this way! Unless you send me a personal request for something else. And even then, I won't do this for anyone and everyone. XD
  • If you need help making an avatar/signature, post in the request forum!



That's about it! Just have fun. I know reading the rules is really boring, and I'm sorry. <3 I just want you all to know what's up!!
